Sea Quest

Tämäkin koru ehti olla valmiina viikon päivät, ennen kuin sain toimeksi kuvata sen. Hain tässä lariat-tyyppistä, pitkää korua, jossa ei ole lukkoa ollenkaan. Ylemmässä kuvassa kaulaosa on kiedottu kaksinkerroin kiven ympärille. Korussa on kahta kokoa dumortieriittia, valkoisia lasihelmiä ja kaksi jättikokoista "jade"kyyneltä. Voi olla, että kyynelten kiinnitys menee vielä uusiksi, ylimääräinen lenkki näyttää aika typerältä.

Kaipasin jotain merellistä ja raikasta korua tätä suunnitellessani. Pakkohan sille oli sitten keksiä merellinen nimikin, siksi "Sea Quest". Tuon niminen nuorille suunnattu scifityyppinen tv-sarja pyöri vuosia sitten ja tykkäsin siitä kovasti.

This necklace was all ready for a week, before I got myself to take the photos. Lazy - who, me? ,-) I was trying to make some kind of lariat here, meaning a long necklace without clasp. This is wery long indeed. In the first photo, the upper part of the necklace is doubled around the stone. I used two sizes of dumortierite, white glass beads and two gigantic "jade" teardrops. I'm quite sure that I have to refurbish the connection between lariat and teardrops. To my opinion the extra splitring looks more or less stupid.When I was designing this necklace, I tried to find something fresh and sea related. So I had to come up with a marine name: "Sea Quest". It comes from a television series for teenagers, some sci-fi under water. I loved the series, hence the name.
